No romaine? No problem.

In the past days there as been a major outbreak of E. coli associated with romaine lettuce. Romaine is grown in the Yuma region of Arizona - the primary area for lettuce grown at this time of year. All of Boxed Organics' lettuces are sourced from small, local farms. At this time of year, northeastern lettuce is grown hydroponically or in green houses. While you are avoiding all types of romaine from the Yuma region - the best way to do this is to avoid romaine bought in stores - do enjoy our locally grown lettuce. Last week we had three different varieties!
